E-Design, What Is It?

I get this question weekly, if not daily, what is E-design? Let me show you how to work with a designer on any schedule or budget!

Everything is going digital, which can sometimes be a blessing and a curse! I have had multiple designer friends frustrated with the struggle to gain clients because of the abundance of blogs and sites like Pinterest or Houzz. There is design and DIY everywhere, but the majority of the population still has no idea how to put everything they like all together. Who doesn't want a well designed room? But with designer fees costing $100+ per hour, hiring one is not always an option.

What Is E-Design?

“ E-design is interior design done completely through the computer. I have worked on projects from Arizona to North Carolina, distance is never an issue. ”

As a mother to 5 young kids, I get it, time and money can be in short supply. That is where e-design comes in, the perfect option for budget minded clients who may not have a lot of time! The client is required to put in more work, but it can really pay off in the end. E-design is interior design done completely through the computer. I have worked on projects from Arizona to North Carolina, distance is never an issue. Here is a breakdown of the E-design relationship, what you give and what you will receive in return.

Initially I need to get a scope of the project, this way I can price it correctly. Prices range depending on if you choose to do inspiration boards and the furniture layout(s) only or if you want to add the shopping list. If a client chooses to do more than 2 rooms, I offer a mulitple room package lowering the per room rate.

Getting Started

The first board sent is a vision board, this is based on the initial feedback from the client. From here we are able to narrow down the selections.

I work back and forth with the client, narrowing down selections and coming up with the best pieces for their space. When all selections have been made, that is when I put together their final design package.

Final Design

The final package includes the floorplan(s), styling tips & instructions, detailed shopping list, and the finish boards showing the enire room put together.

Other E-Design Projects

E-design is not only limited to furnishings, it can also be used for new construction and renovation projects. These jobs are typically priced at a rate of $1/sq foot of finished space.

There is also "a la carte" services that range from something as simple as paint color selections or even help with pillows, no project is too big or too small!

E-design is taking interior design to a whole new level and making it available to a wider range of people. It really is the way of the future and the possibilities are endless. Interested to know more? Send me a message and I would love to talk to you about your specific needs!
